ABOUT THE SHOP

The Parks and Rec. Woodshop is a non-profit organization that aims to promote the craft and tradition of woodworking by providing a well-maintained place for its members to come together, to share a space, tools, and ideas as they work on their projects.

We always have a foreman on duty, and their primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of our members by making sure they are familiar with the machines they want to operate. Our foremen are veteran woodworkers who volunteer their time because they love woodworking, and they love sharing their woodworking knowledge.

All skill levels are welcome to join he Woodshop but, some basic woodworking knowledge is recommended. A great way for members to learn new skills is by asking questions while working on their projects.

There is an annual membership fee of $120, which includes unlimited access to the shop during its established hours, along with use of our extensive list of stationary and portable tools.
