Thomas Wewerka

My father was a cabinet maker for Owens Yacht and instilled in me the love for working with wood at a very early age. My brother and I built our first boat at the age of 12. After the teen years and a stint in the Army I returned to woodworking, more specifically, cabinetmaking.

For fifteen years I took cabinetmaking and then afterwards taught it as an assistant teacher in night school for Harford Community College. I had my own business installing kitchens, building decks, and club basements. I am now retired.

I have no favorite type of woodworking as I love any and all of it. I really get excited when there is a chance to share some of the knowledge that I acquired over the last 40 years with someone new while they are doing a project.
